Steel Melting Shop – Advanced
Manufacturing Process
Our Steel Melting Shop is equipped with an Electrical
Induction Furnace from Megatherm India, featuring two crucibles of 25 MT
capacity each for melting scrap and sponge iron.
·
Scrap Identification: All incoming scrap
is carefully analyzed using a spectrometer to determine the presence of
precious alloying elements such as Nickel (Ni), Molybdenum (Mo), and
Chromium (Cr).
·
Charging Process: The scrap is charged
into the furnace using a high‑capacity magnet, ensuring safe and
efficient handling.
·
Melting & Analysis: During the
melting process, continuous chemical analysis is carried out. Based on
real‑time results, precise additions of alloying elements are made to achieve
the desired steel composition.
·
Quality Assurance: This controlled
process guarantees consistency, accuracy, and compliance with IS 2062
standards, delivering steel of superior quality for industrial and
structural applications.
2)
Continues casting machine
After liquid steel is poured into the ladle, it is
transferred to the Continuous Casting Plant (CCP) for billet production.
- Ladle
Transfer: The molten steel is carefully shifted to the CCP station for
close casting, ensuring controlled flow and minimal contamination.
- Casting
Process: The steel is continuously cast into billets using advanced
mould technology. This process ensures uniform solidification,
dimensional accuracy, and consistent quality across all billets.
- Billet
Handling:
- The
freshly cast billets are moved to the grinding yard for dressing
and inspection, where surface defects are removed and quality is
verified.
- Alternatively,
billets are hot‑rolled directly in our Rolling Mill, depending on
production requirements and customer demand.
3)
Hot Rolling Mills – Structural Steel
Production
We operate two advanced Hot Rolling Mills, dedicated to manufacturing
high‑quality structural steel products.
